Basic Lead Welding & Bossing

 

This Lead Sheet Association Accredited course is intended for anyone wishing to gain knowledge, or improve their skills, in Leadwelding and Bossing. Delegates receive a LSA certificate upon successfully completing the course assessments. Practical assessments form a continuous process throughout length of the course.

The five day course takes place over two sessions; in the first, three days are spent covering the Leadwelding and includes time on the Health & Safety risks associated with Lead i.e Manual Handling, Hygiene (ingestion) and fume inhalation. The course continues in the second session with two days that covers the Lead Bossing.

Upon satisfactory completion of this course and receiving LSA certification a CSCS Basic Leadworker’s Card can be applied for providing that a “Working at Height” Health & Safety touch screen test has been successfully completed.  Further details from the CSCSand LSA websites

Next Basic Lead Welding & Bossing Course

Monday 20th February – Friday 24th February 2017

The aim of this course is to train a person in the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the standards of competence to safely produce lead roofing components by the bossing and welding techniques.

 

The training objective:

 

A   The student shall demonstrate the successful safe production of lead roofing components by the bossing and welding process.

 

B    From the experience gained in A, the student will, through practical and oral assessment demonstrate a competence in the         bossing process.
