This course is essential for roofers, bricklayers and anyone who uses disc cutters and grinders. It is also suitable for those who wish to prove their competency in fitting wheels, blades and discs to portable and bench machines.
Delegates will receive training, knowledge and understanding in:
- An outline of the legal requirements for operators and employers (H&S at Work, PUWER , Noise, Vibration, CoSHH and PPE)
- Hazards and risks during use
- Types of wheels and discs and their markings
- Guidance and information on wheel and disc mounting
The course includes a practical assessement on equipment use and the changing of discs and wheels.
